I am pleased to announce Yohei Doi, University Pittsburgh, USA; Frederic Laurent, University Lyon, France; and Dr. Sharon Chen, Westmead University will be participating at the meeting. Yohei will be presenting the plenary "Treatment Options for Carbapenem Resistant Non-Lactose Fermenters", Frederic will be presenting "Phage Therapy: A Reality at the Bedside", and Sharon will be presenting the plenary "New antifungals : clinical trials and unmet need". 

The 2024 Howard Florey Oration will be delivered by Prof Jon Iredell from the Westmead Institute for Medical Research.

The programme's symposia cover many different aspects of antimicrobials and sessions include "Staphylococcus aureus", "One Health", "The Hospital Microbiome", "Updated Guidelines", and "AMR Risk Groups in the Community".  In addition, we have pharmacy and EUCAST workshops scheduled on Saturday afternoon. Two literature review sessions will also be presented, including Tony Korman’s "The Year in Clinical Microbiology" and Katie Flanagan’s "The Year in Infectious Diseases". Six proffered papers and two poster sessions are also planned for the meeting.

To promote discussion and interaction between delegates and the invited speakers, the meeting's registration includes lunches, morning and afternoon teas and admission to the Howard Florey Dinner.
