The CBAA acknowledges Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and recognises their continuing connection to lands, waters and communities.

We pay our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, and to Elders both past and present.

CBAA also honours the dedication and expertise of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander broadcasters and their work to strengthen and connect communities and recognises the vital role First Nations and community media plays in truth-telling and reconciliation.

We also acknowledge that the Gold Coast are the traditional Country of the Yugambeh people and pay respect to their Elders both past and present. We are grateful for the opportunity to meet on that land, for which sovereignty was never ceded.
