> ISNPR 2023 Conference in Cairns, Australia
The third major international meeting of the International Society for Nutritional Psychiatry Research on Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th March 2023.
The conference was held in tropical Cairns, Australia, at the Cairns Convention Centre. Cairns was in close proximity to the World Heritage listed Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef – two of the world’s natural wonders.

The second major international meeting of the International Society for Nutritional Psychiatry Research, which was held in London, United Kingdom, between the 20th to 22nd of October 2019 at The Park Plaza London Riverbank on the banks of the Thames River.
This meeting built upon the initial 2017 conference and reflected the broad and evolving spectrum of Nutritional Psychiatry research, from the sub-cellular to translation and implementation science. The program emphasized the international growth of the field, and catered to the interests of researchers and clinicians from the fields of psychiatry and psychology, as well as public health, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, obesity, dietetics and integrative medicine. There was a strong focus on basic science and the biological processes and factors that underpinned the links between diet, nutrition and mental health, including the gut-brain axis, immunological and metabolic processes, and molecular science. This meeting also focused on translation and public health applications of Nutritional Psychiatry, with a focus on building capacity across clinical, research, and public domains.

The first major international meeting of the International Society for Nutritional Psychiatry Research, held in Bethesda, USA, between the 30th of July and 2nd of August 2017 at the Marriot Hotel in the centre of Bethesda.

The program catered to the interests of researchers and clinicians from the fields of public health, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, obesity and dietetics, as well as psychiatry and psychology. There was a strong focus on basic science and the biological processes and factors that underpin the links between diet, nutrition and mental health, including the brain-gut-microbe axis, immunology and metabolic processes and molecular science.
