MAOKONG GONDOLA
With a total length of 4.03 kilometers, the Maokong Gondola is the first gondola system in Taipei City. One-way travel time on the gondola is about 20 to 30 minutes. The gondola ride includes four stops, namely the Taipei Zoo Station, Taipei Zoo South Station, Zhinan Temple Station, and the Maokong Station. It is very easy to ride the Maokong Gondola; after getting off the last stop of the Metro's Wenhu Line—Taipei Zoo Station—walk to the Maokong Gondola's Taipei Zoo Station to take the gondola.
NATIONAL PALACE MUSEUM
The National Palace Museum houses the world's largest collection of priceless Chinese art treasures, one which spans China's nearly 5,000-year history. Most of the museum's over 600,000 art objects were part of the Chinese imperial collection, which began over 1,000 years ago in the early Song dynasty.
TAIPEI 101
Located in the finest district Taipei has to offer, TAIPEI 101 is the largest engineering project ever in the history of the Taiwan construction business. Supported by a dozen or so domestic businesses, the TFC Corp. was fortunate to have local and international experts in charge of the planning, and world-class architect C.Y. Lee was responsible for the design of the project.
SHILIN NIGHT MARKET
Taste authentic Taiwanese food and immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of Taipei’s sprawling Shilin Night Market. The market started in the late 19th century, when Japanese immigrants built a day market that operated from a small brick house to sell meat, fish, fruit and vegetables.
