Speaker | Dr Caitlin Keighley

Dr Keighley is a Microbiologist and Infectious Diseases physician with interests that include obstetrics and the immuocompromised host and completing a PhD in Mycology. She joined Southern.IML Pathology after having worked at Westmead, St George, Royal Prince Alfred, Alice Springs and Canberra Hospitals. Dr Keighley has also worked with the Queensland Institute of Medical Research.. She recently contributed to the IMJ antifungal guidelines on Candida infections.

Speaker | Prof Sharon Chen

She is the Director, Centre for Infectious Diseases and Microbiology Laboratory Services, ICPMR, Sydney. An active member of the Australia and New Zealand Mycoses Interest Group(ANZMIG), she has been on the steering committee for the present and past ASID antifungal guidelines. Her interests are in novel diagnostics, antifungal drug resistance and the epidemiology of invasive fungal diseases. She is an investigator on a number of antifungal drug trials. She is the present Editor-in-Chief of Medical Mycology, the societal journal of ISHAM.

Speaker | Dr Olivia Bupha-Intr

Olivia Bupha-Intr is an Infectious Diseases Physician at Wellington Hospital, New Zealand. She is also a professional practice fellow at the Wellington School of Medicine, University of Otago. Her interests include infections in immunocompromised hosts, antimicrobial stewardship, medical education and digital innovation.

Moderator | Prof Monica Slavin

Professor Monica Slavin leads the Immunocompromised Host Infection service at Royal Melbourne Hospital and is Head of the Department of Infectious Diseases at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (Peter Mac). Monica is current Chair of the Australasian Society for Infectious Diseases Mycoses Interest Group and established and has chaired its antifungal guideline writing committee since 2004. Monica contributes to multiple national and international committees for education, research and development of guidelines for treatment and prevention of opportunistic infections and to standardise definitions and diagnosis of fungal infections. Monica is Vice President of the International Immunocompromised Host Society, which promotes education and research.
