ABSTRACT SUBMISSION


The 19th International Symposium on Staphylococci and Staphylococcal Infections invites the submission of abstracts for consideration at the conference.

Abstract submission STRICTLY closes Friday 31 May 2024.

All submissions must be made via the online Abstract Submission Portal.

You must follow the correct process (format, word length) for the submission of your abstract. Incorrectly formatted abstracts and those over 350 words will be automatically rejected. 

                                     


Presentation and Poster abstracts should include: 

Title of Abstract

  • Title in CAPITAL CASE

Authors and Affiliations Section

  • Authors in Sentence case
  • Affiliations in Sentence case

Abstract Section

  • Content in Sentence case
  • Sub-headings in Sentence case
  • Use single line spacing
  • Include the following sub-headings: Aim, Background, Methods, Results, Conclusions
  • Include the following subheadings for case studies: Background, Case Report, Conclusions
  • Abstracts MUST NOT exceed 350 words, excluding the title, authors and affiliations
  • Abstracts exceeding 350 words will NOT be accepted
  • You MUST include results or data in your abstract.
  • You may include one figures. 
  • Abstracts that describe plans for a study or state “results will be presented” will NOT be accepted
  • Abbreviations – include the full text on the first mention followed by the abbreviation in parenthesis
  • Do NOT include references
  • Do NOT submit abstracts with typographical or grammatical errors

General Requirements

  • Abstracts must contain original work that has not previously been reported
  • Abstracts may be original research, case studies, or insight and review articles
  • Full papers are NOT required
  • Only the presenting author must submit the abstract
  • Abstracts will NOT be reviewed if not in the specified format
  • All presentations MUST be in English
  • Faxed or mailed hard-copy abstracts will NOT be accepted

Abstract Review Process

  • Accepted abstracts will be reviewed by an Abstract Review Panel

The Antimicrobials Online Committee reserves the right to accept or refuse any abstract.

                                     

It is a requirement that all poster presenters are registered for the 2024 Conference. Registration can be completed via the abstract submission portal and the deadline for Early Bird registration is Friday 12 July 2024.
